Research at CIT
The Centre for Internet Technologies (CIT) is a research group of the Department of Computing, Engineering & Technology within the Faculty of Applied Sciences. We are active in a number of research areas, including CERIF - the Common European Research Information Format and Research Information Management.
Formerly the Centre for Electronic Commerce Research & Development, CIT has an established track record of leading and participating in research and technological development (RTD) projects from 1996 to the current day, working with over 96 partners on 26 projects. We are currently active in C4D in collaboration with 5 partners.
Our research activities are funded jointly by the University and other funding bodies, such as the European Commission, European Structured Funds, the UK Government Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), JISC and other initiatives.
We currently have 79 publications in journals, periodicals and conferences.
We have 12 members of staff who are working either full time or part time on research projects and activities in the centre.
